Its operation
All activities of Word
in Action are based on the conviction that the
greatest need for churches and individual Christians is
to hear the Word of God and apply it to daily living
The Word in Action committee recognises that a week's meetings
once a year, is not the only effective format of presenting
God's word, so other events of different style are being planned.
Invited speakers will continue to be drawn from a wide range of traditions
but will in all cases be in agreement with the purpose of
Word in Action and its basis of faith.
The financial costs of these
activities will normally be met from freewill offerings,
from supporting churches and from individuals.
