Membership

  1. Churches and church leaders in Bath and the surrounding area are invited to indicate their support for Word in Action,, while accepting its aims and statement of faith
  2. It is expected that member churches will include the activities of Word in Action in their own programmes and will endeavour to support all activities by prayer and attendance
  3. The Word in Action Committee consists of up to eight members.
  4. The Committee may co-opt onto its membership, other individuals to assist with its working
  5. Individuals who wish to support Word in Action but are not members of supporting churches, can also register their interest. They will be kept informed of all activities
Churches and leaders indicating support for Word in Action will be entitled:
  1. Annually to nominate individuals to serve on the Committee
  2. To vote as to who should serve on the Committee, should this be necessary
  3. To make recommendations to the Committee
  4. To receive reports of Committee meetings
The organising committee at present comprises six church leaders;
three Baptists, two Anglicans, and one Brethren.
The Chairman is Peter Culver, formerly minister of Widcombe Baptist Church.
The Secretary is John Martin, an elder of Sladebrook Evangelical Church.
