The broad purpose of Word in Action is to bring the message of the Bible to Christians in the Bath area, in a manner relevant for today. Evangelical Christians from churches in the Bath area have come together every year since 1905, for a week's Bible teaching from a nationally known speaker, and to enjoy fellowship together. Known in the past as the Bath Convention, but continued as Word in Action, other events are now included in the programme.
